Not sure if I have missed another thread but there's an article on the +2in the latest issue. No great revelations but it's good to see the car being reviewed so positively.

I picked up a copy at Beaulieu recently as was surprised to see it featured.

But don't shout too loudly, I quite like the +2 being a secrete. I noticed Octane ran a Lotus supplement which is out now, and they seem to have completely missed us.

Could you let us know which issue? May, June or July? The Classic Cars magazine website doesn't mention the article in their rundown of the contents . . .
http://www.classiccarsmagazine.co.uk/

Perhaps I've got the wrong magazine?

Thanks!!

Thanks, Ian.

You do mean "Classic Cars" magazine, the British mag, right? Website says the mag is known as "Thoroughbred and Classic Cars" outside Britian. I'll check around for either title.

Note the little picture of the blue +2 - top right.

I'm sure it's available from the publishers if you ask nicely...

We have the ridiculous situation in May when only the July edition is available for sale here in sunny Carlisle

..why do they do that

In case anyone missed it, I've uploaded it as a PDF. Hopefully there's nothing wrong in doing this, but if there is I'm sure someone will point it out.

Happy reading...

In that article (Thanks Ian for the pdf!) it says that the chrome front windscreen surround is non repairable (That we do know) and spyder can supply a rubber seal with a chrome insert.
I thought, and I am prepared to be corrected, that the later Plus 2's, had a different windscreen aperture, and hence the front screen was bonded in, as opposed to the earlier rubber seal, so what are Spyder supplying?
Reason for my interest is my screen is cracked but it does not leak. Last time the window muppets tried replacing the screen, they busted four before they got it right and it did not leak, so I am loathed to go through the process again, unless I can go for the rubber seal.

Any thoughts?

Shop manual clearly states that the aperature is different, (from January, 1970 on, I believe) and if I'm not mistaken, this means the opening is smaller on the later glue-in models. In any case, the manual also clearly states that the two openings are not interchangeable with the two installation methods.

FWIW.

Jeff: 4 windscreens broken??!?!?! Ouch. How did they find that many to put in???
