got me thinking... howcome you have green /yellow badge on front & stromberg bulge with webers beneath??

Don't know about the badge, some 1968 cars have this and I have seen others with the b/w one.

Bulge is for the webers; I have seen a few Weber cars with this. You never can tell what is original with Lotus as there is so much variation.

The wood under the front is because I do not use the handbrake when the car is laid-up as it seizes on.

Yes gave it a wash and polish; tried to touch it up with a can of new Wedgewood blue from Rimmers but 40+ years old wedgewood blue is not the same will have to take the boot off and get a paint shop to match it.

Took the rear bumper off last night and rewired the rear lights, need to get some new rubber washers now for the 'new' SS bumper bolts that I have had for years. Then get the rear end up and put the 'new' suspension strut on the passenger side that I reconditioned many years ago. It is a lot easier to do this in the garage than it was at the old house on the gravel drive.

Still working on it, items fixed recently:

rear suspension changed from Spyder MK1 to Issue 18 and overhauled
new caliper seals and pistons all round
new braided brake hoses
new CV gaitors
new steering rack gaitors
headlamp motor brackets made and fitted
rear lamps stripped and rewired
boot loom made and replaced
Alli closing panels made and fitted
foam replaced in interior rear 1/4 panels and re-whitened
Dynamo regulator replaced

Still to do:

Replace wiring for indicators (small fire!)
Free off clutch
Replace carb top gaskets and tune
Make new door cards
Too much play in passenger door; need to look at that
Replace battery
Replace carpet
Adjust headlights

You have done a great job.
It's a lovely car.

Ordered x2 carb service kits this morning.

New finish target date 9th September and pop along to Hedingham Castle. Its local so should be an easy test run.

You do see a lot of Yellow cars on the road. Stand out from the crowd.

I have been promising to visit Rich for the past 2 years and he is a couple of miles up the road.
The worse thing I did was take it off the road. It is much easier to get motivated if you can drive it.

I used to drive it to Donnington, Silverstone and Stoneleigh so hopefully you will see it soon.

Looks lovely Jason. Interesting how Wedgewood blue looks so different in different light conditions - the second set of pics almost look like a change of colour...

Yes the camera does lie. I have lots of pictures and the colour varies according to the light.
