happily it passed first time . the only advisory was coil springs front and back rusty . any suggestions?
is it a case of getting the wire brush out before next year's MOT or is it more it than that?

Ideally remove, clean and paint with something ? Or powder-coat?

Something required though. I recon' powder coating might be best. ?? Don't know for sure Just my humble..

Good looking car there though..Felt like I was sitting in it. Good luck with it.

Safe and happy motoring..

Jesus that guy it one picky tester. Did you tell him they are over 40 years old?

I sprayed mine with black Hammerite.

Congrats on a pass, I keep meaning to sort mine but the house and work are still getting in the way. At least one of those is not going to be a problem in the next few weeks (so I am told by my boss) so I may get the summer to sort the +2. :D

Good luck with getting the front springs off! Impossible with out a special tool.

I agree with Jason the guy is just too picky. go somewhere else next year.
Enjoy the car on the road.

nah, he passed it after all...only cost me ?25
There's nothing wrong with 'em really, just very old rusty orange coating .
a wire brush and a dab of hammerite has transformed them.
Look forward to seeing what he says next year !
