First start spring

I started my +2 today. It had some major repairs done immediately before winter came and storage. I had new front engine covers and a cassette water pump installed. I also had the electric fan replaced with a high output fan.

The engine now runs at an indicated 82 to 95 deg. C. When the fan turns on it usually reduces the temperature within 90 seconds and turns off. Appears to be running quite well.

The car is covered in sawdust and dirt as my kitchen remodelers used the garage to cut lumber. When the weather cooperates I will wash the car.

All good to hear, and mirrors my own experience. My Plus 2 has been in the garage for a few months now, since a Rotoflex went on me. I've fitted Miller driveshafts and done a few other bits - a vacuum pod, cam cover gasket, new fuel pump, various minor electrical things. Last week I reversed it out, turned it round and reversed it back in (I had it in the garage nose-first to make the driveshaft fitting easier) - first time it had moved under its own power in all that time.

It was more than somewhat galling to find that the Rotoflex that went had only done so because it had been fitted the wrong way round - the other three were correctly fitted and like new. But I'd far rather have driveshafts which will last the life of the car, rather than couplings that may last a few years, so the Miller option was the right one for me.

Now I need to get it an MOT - and, like yours, my car needs a good clean!

I live near southampton. Southampton Pennsylvania, US that is.

I installed the Spyder one CV one rotoflex shafts when I restored the car. They came assembled so I hope they were done properly.

No problems to date. The only difficulty I have which may be recurring is the rear shock shaft nut coming loose. It happens on one side only and I dont understand it as it is an elastic stop nut.

I am still awaiting temperate dry weather. It will be near freezing this evening and did not to 50F during the day.
