Nice update and info Brandon; very helpful for Randy I am sure. Pretty much the same deal for me when I was looking a few years back.
My car was white when I bought it as well. Didn't really float my boat either. Looked very similar to yours actually.
I picked mine up at Ken's when I bought it, and saw the convertible then. RHD if I recall correctly, which might be an issue for some.
Keep us up to date as you go through the car. I was planning the same as you when I got my car, but review of the frame condition led me to a frame off resto rather than a rolling resto. Getting the car mechanically & electrically sorted first is certainly ideal and more enjoyable.
I also had the body work done professionally. Removing the body worked out well because of space limitations at home. I did all the frame & running gear while the body was off-site. Amazing how much space a car takes up when it is taken apart!
