Nice JPS in the background Jono, I'm currently in the process of sanding mine down for a respray (taken 5 days to do 1/3 of the car).
How have you modified the airbox? Mines burried in a box somewhere and I can't remember what i looks like normally.
Interesting alternator belt too!

The toothed belt drive is an ace idea with the standard water pump. Most failures are caused by an overtightened V drive belt..
Sorted.. Well done that man. That is one mod I wish I had done too.. Having said that... So far so good, but my 'v' is quite slack.. Good idea methinks. & boy do I now regret not having bought the JPS + 2 I was offered some time ago.... Mistake or what?
Ah well... Cant win them all!
Happy days.

Innes,
The airbox mod involved adding about 1.5" depth by making a mould from a piece of styrofoam and extending the box with fibreglass feathered in to the existing and then smoothed over with filler.
The JPS is courtesy of Mark of this forum (Elan in the Forest) and is next in line. It's a genuine 38k miler, all on original bores and chassis. Seems a shame to tinker with er she's so original
Alex - that's a Burton pulley kit and if you look closer you will see a 36-1 trigger wheel lurking which I have fixed to the rear with 4 set screws. I was going for the full FI route but the costs were getting silly so I'm going wasted spark with a Megajolt and TPS with an EDIS module
Cheers, jon

Looks like 2 birds with one stone then. Looking good..
I had spotted the deeper air-box! ( Looks good ). Didn't notice the trigger wheel though..
We will expect a full report.
