What are these?

Slowly working through the boxes of parts and have come across the following. Can anyone help in telling me what they are and where they go . Cant find them in the parts book.

Hi Graham,

The small clips in pic one look like the wire clips that hold the support rods for the head lining. One end fits in the rod, the other, if remember correctly, is screwed into the body above the door.

The second bracket looks familar, my intial feeling is that it is a support for the steering column and is fitted in the drivers footwell. Not 100% though.

Hi. I second the vote on the steering column bracket - looks very similar to mine which is a 130S/5 from '72.

...and I second Chris' suggestion that the pieces of wire are used to hold the headlining support rods in place.

Yes, the bracket supports the steering column. Bolts through the bulkhead behind the dashboard (but not in the footwell).

Thanks for the replies had a feeling the clips were for the hood lining but the bracket no ideas -stil cant imagine how bracket fits but will look into.

Sadly enough, I just happen to have a pic that shows my steering wheel fitted with the column bracket visible in the background... the joy of restoration. I used large spreading washers on the engine bay side rather than the two metal sections shown in your pic. Look for the holes in the bulkhead.

Thanks for the photo helps a lot -have found the holes and worked out how it fits-anther step forward!!
