Restoration Update

Well, the sun has been out and temperatures are on the up; it has been as high as12 degC.
So into the garage to pick up the +2 restoration project. (My ageing body works better in the warmth).
I have attached 3 photos of the Final Chassis Assy. Took off the various dust covers & pushed out of the garage onto the drive.
One question, should the dipstick be painted white?
Also 2 photos of the body being prepared for paint.
This is not a job I have enjoyed and at this point I question if I would do this again. Slow slow slow. Paint dust every where and very difficult to clean up, clogs the vacuum cleaners filters.
I will have some glass matt & tissue repairs to do, but several of the paint defects disappeared as I removed the original ?Cirrus White? paint top coat. This had ?shrunk? and resulted in defects in the 2nd top coat, ?Cardinal Red?
See 2nd photo below.
I was fortunate in that the body had only these 2 top coats with their associated primers & undercoats. I still have some way to go in removing the paint, but I am now down to the primer/undercoat, this is soft & much easier to remove especially by hand.
Regards
