Rich,

Really nice job but couldn't you get some individual numbers for the front so the radiator can get some air?

Waiting to see how it does with the plate....seems to look the same so far on the guage. But, hmm, you have got me paranoid a bit, maybe I am just overly confident that a zetec is unlikely to overheat....maybe I should do this in any case.

Where can I get some?

Enjoying the comments.....particularly like the rebranding!

What's going on with the first and last picture? They look like the same pic but the first one has 1 bonnet budge and the last pic has 2 budges?? Photoshop??

I decided the zetec 2 litre was a bit gay, so went for something a bit beefier. Nice flared rear arches too.

Rich,

I got my individual numbers and letters from Christopher Neil which is called something else now.

I'm looking at the new hood ornament. Are you sure you don't have an L88 in there? That would explain the second bulge!

Ooh! suits you sir!

Leather upgrades...chavvy colour...bling petrol cap...shameful engine swap....ooh!

The purists will hate you, but you won't care.

Welcome to 'Club Zetec'

Well, Rich, I do agree about the 4WD look....but that can be sorted.

I am warming to the colour though! Looks much better than on that horror of an Alfa....which surely must be a Fiat of some sort?!!

They always seem to look very high in the workshop on buildup, they need about a month to settle down when fully built (mine did anyway) and then you have to decide whether to put the ride height visually correct and accept grounding out when you carry a passenger or keep it a bit too high (visually) so that you save knackering the bottom of the exhaust manifold on speed humps.

Can I conclude that those people who set their Zetec engined +2 ride height to a visually correct level have no friends?

Here's mine, either I have friends or I am optimistic.... or maybe there are fierce speed humps in Tunbridge Wells.

I guess that if the Zetec is taller than the twincam, there must be more hanging down below. My BDA Plus 2 had to have a bump put in the bonnet to accomodate the extra height (no Spyder chassis in 1971) and that's VERY low, as were all the early pre-'S' cars...no problems with grounding.

We don't have speed bumps in this part of the world, but a few mobile speed calmers, like tractors, sheep and the odd cow.

Don's Elite looks cute parked next to your car...not sure about the skip though!!

Yes, the Alfa colour looked to have too much silver in it in the flesh and also a hint of green. A 70s Aston blue seemed to fit a bit better!

I'm not too sure if the Zetec is taller than the Twincam, the drive centre line remains the same & regardless the engine even fits easily into an S4.
The Mondeo sump will hang down lower that the front cross member which is a big no no in my book, the sump being die cast, won't bend if it hits a speed bump.
Modification highly recommended!

Cheers
John
