Hi,

Not at all 'scientific' but I think there are between 10 and 20 here in Ireland.

Will check my contacts list and total a bit more concisely.

Wikipedia reckons 1200.....but what do they know?
I am now an ex-Elan owner but will drop by from time to time with some suitably inappropriate comments.

11 on my list that are on the road in Republic of Ireland.

A few more may be, but I have no confirmation.

(I don't think yours counts yet Jon :))

Does anybody know what happened to the Plus 2 register that was on the internet?
Here in France I believe the number is 10 to 12. There's been a few purchased due to the good (I don't call it good as we earn in Sterling) exchange rate.
Has anyone details of how many are registered with Club Lotus UK and Club Lotus FR?

Terry
PS Wikipedia does seem to know everything?

5 known cars in Norway.
3 in use, one undergoing restoration, and I am waiting to get my engine back from workshop until I start using it again.

hi Terry,
in reply to how many lotus elan+2s in france. The figure i have is 17 approx with club lotus france + mine + a dismantled jps body + yours and perhaps some unknown. I imagine a closer figure would be 25 or max of 30 in france. Were you thinking of making a list of +2s in france by departement
best regards Alan

Alan
It would be great to do a French Plus 2 Register, but I wonder whether we would fall fail of the dreaded data protection act or a French version (they probably have 4!)
As we are only talking about max 25 cars, we could send an email to all we know asking to pass the word to other owners and see what happens.
We could have info such as: -
Registration No / Original Registration No / Chassis No / Date of Immatrication / Date of Import / Exact Model / Gearbox / Carbs / Trim / Name / Dept / Email etc
I directly know of 3 other plus 2s with a few more linked to those owners
What do you think?

Best Regards
Terry

I would think of most interest number to be the total number surviving; of which those qactually "on the road" would be a subset :)

That would include Jon and my '68

There are at least 4 here in Guernsey. One is a Spyder I believe, the others are (relatively) original.
