I weighed my Plus 2S 130/4 recently with I think probably about half a tank and it came out at 880 KG or 1940 lbs. This is more in line with the workshop manual. Perhaps the weight varies depending on whether the fuel tank is half full or half empty...............
Cheers,
Wylie.

Everyone knows that one mole of optimism weighs only 75% as much as one mole of pessimism.

The weight saving (half full) was due to there being less air (undoutably of the hot variety) in the tank.!!

1940 sounds light for a +2 to me, although 2000 lbs. was a factory target. I thought the early ones came in at about 2100. I'll weigh my '69 without fuel, as it will probably evaporate before I can get to the scales anyway. Does compressed air in an empty fuel tank weigh more? Should I take the cap off first?

Eric, for this to be a valid weight comparison against the original "factory" spec, you will have to refill the tyres back to the original "factory" 1969 air. We are all told that global warming has increased CO2 levels!!
