Many are too low and are riding on the bump stops, eh? So these cars, photographed brand new in 1967, were already knackered then! I'm always amazed what a lot of rubbish some so-called experts come out with to justify their product.

Wasn't the ride-height raised for the S/130? I recall seeing a What Car? road test in a Brooklands compilation where the car looked a bit higher than the early models. Even so, it was no where near as high as the spyder models.

My car has a Spyder chassis and sits fine (at the front at least - the rear is a bit high for some reason), does this mean that the new spyder chassis' raise the height even when fitted to an otherwise standard car?

If anyone owns or knows the owner of the regency red +2 (POP 900M) please get in touch. It is the closest match to the original shade I've seen and it's just the colour I want to paint mine.

Here's a car photographed on Sunday which might have been the Christopher Neil conversion demonstrator in the 1980s.

Best wishes,

Si
