Apologies to original newbie poster; sometime it gets like this when it's cabin-fever season.
Hang around, maybe someone will come along with a sensible answer.

Sensible reply: one thing that you will find has changed since your car was on the road- all the new "rubber bits", i.e. doughnuts, diff mounts, bushes, etc. are now made of crap and last no time at all. Good move to bin the flexi-drive, I certainly would not go back. For tough diff top mounts (a requirement with CVs, as I have found) there is probably nothing better on offer than Tony Thompson's racing items. Rohan will be able to advise if something of equal quality is produced down under; failing that, Tony ships world-wide.
Cheers,
Pete.

WELL PETE if you are going to be that way =====I have wondered that if you take the out put shaft in its entirety to a drive train shop and ask if they can add a sliding spline or duplicate the shaft with u joints and sliding splines that it would work well and be a lot cheaper than those purchased at a shop they have them made some where too -----------ed
