big thanks to everyone who replied - i called Susan Miller today (lovely, most helpful lady!) and arranged to pick up a new exhaust next week. Wish I had the ability to see into the future to what part will break next - then could stock up at the same time!
Solenoid-wise, i've found that shorting the top connection on the back of the dash switch causes the solenoid to fire and lights come on... so I guess it's the dash switch. Simon - do you have a spare? Also - does anyone know how to get the thing off the dash without breaking the switch?
