Finally the second member is out. A half is missing on the front plate and a small rust powder has fallen down from the inner tub ?

I removed a part of the front suspension and I had choosen the front way as described in the archives as another possibilty

I?m now a bit worried about how to replace the new one !

But before, as you can see on the picture the holes on the body must be repaired

Lovely looking piece Franck. Where ever did you find it? By checking do you mean turns per km / turns per mile, etc.? Ah, I see you answered on the other thread. Anyway congrats to both of you, that's marvelous.

The second sill member(the left one) is now inside the car ! I used the front way by the inner wing and it was eventually easier than I was thinking

The closing plates are now back with silicon seals and underbodies black protection.
I have fitted new stainless steel nuts and bolts. I have preferred to keep the old closing plates which were not too bad as the new ones bought from Spyder after I read here some guys had body cracks due to these too much rigid plates.

Some news
Today the +2 is 46 !
Since I have finished the sill members job, I have fitted the new carpets and under felt, pleasant to do
The seat runners cleaning was long and fastidious.
I had to fill the extra holes on the tunnel top, I did it with black mastic, the finished result is not perfect but there is no more holes ! I have spent ages to screw the vent ducts (I?m now pretty sure I should better have fitted the crash pad first, before dashboard ?)

Now, a few remaining odd jobs to do, also the door cards to be renew and the under dash closing plates to build ... before putting the seat and bleed brakes and clutch ?
To be continued !

What kind of material would you advice to build the door card ?

I have put a seat and I stay a while at the wheel...

Salut tout le monde
The +2 is back on the road :D

20140406_223651 - Copie.jpg and

There still are a few things remaining and some tuning is necessary but now I do the final job
I had to bleed the tank because the gas was too old
The first run was very short due to strange noise at the rear ... A rotoflex compressor forgotten in place

Well I 'm now refitting the mirrors, I've put new one in place of the awful scared Tex

20140408_184734.jpg and

The old holes have been occulted by Le Mans Classic stickers waiting for the new paint ?
I wonder what the right interior mirror is ? I got the car with one glued on the windscreen and I found one from Vernon

20140408_184813.jpg and

But I now think this one is for a later car because I only have one hole to attach it.
What kind of mirror do you have on early +2 ?

Thanks

Salut Franck

Hmm, I don't know - but if nobody from the forum pips up contact Roland; our friendly French S4 and ex +2 CN owner. He just sold his +2 but I imagine he took and kept lots of photos.
