You didn't tell me how much fun it was!

so i've had my 74 +2 for about a month now and it is troublesome (in cosmetic ways)... the choke came clean out of the dash, the pop-up headlight button has stopped going back in (hand round the back of the dash to turn them on and off!) the boot release is hmmm... temperamental and the throttle cable snapped (which was identified by the cycle guy in Halfords as a vintage BMX brake cable!) BUT it's SO MUCH FUN..!

i just never imagined how enjoyable it would be smply driving. i take it everywhere. i've even been dreaming about driving... it makes such an incredible noise - it pops and gurgles it's head off at low revs but get it up to steam and it flies! i suspect that my cams have been tweaked with...

James
Unless people experience it they have no idea of what real driving pleasure is.
They cant understand that before I have even fired up the Elan my heart starts pumping that bit quicker.
How often in a normal car do you find yourself laughing out loud from just driving it.

When I went on the 'scare yourself sensible' at the lotus factory last May, it took about 2 hours for me to stop grinning ear to ear. Great fun. I got to go round the lotus track for 20 minutes in an Elise, under instruction from one of the test drivers. Awesome! Then he took me round, and I realised that I'd not had the car going at all. We also had a tour of the factory. If you've not done it, I highly recommend it.

Sean.

Well said James

The noise, the grip, the feel of the car on the road, it's looks and smell ... it creates a package that's something really special

It's a love affair thing!

I've had my +2 for a few years now, I drive it most days and every time I'm Flying it arround the B roads near my home, I have just so much fun !
