Calling Plus 2 owners, North East England

Hi,

I need inspiration and advice on putting back together the 1970 Plus 2S I bought in early 2007. Having just started in business on my own it will be a long haul before it hits the road however I want to make progress even in a small way such as getting the head overhauled, some parts rechromed etc.

I haven't even been in any type of Elan or seen/heard one running and so would love to meet up with a fellow owner/s in NE England or North Cumbria to talk Plus 2's, listen to the legndary TC motor and perhaps, who knows, even be taken for a quick spin

Having parted with my Caterham at the end of summer I am really missing having something to drive for the sheer fun of it

The Seven Club had a few members around my area but Elan owners seem thin on the ground

I don't know how far you are from York? North Yorks Lotus club meet at the Buckles Pub on the A64 towards York on the fourth Tuesday in the month, the is also a club on Tyneside.
I have a +2 so PM for a chat or more details on the York club.

Thanks for your replies, however not that close to either Cheshire or York . In fact I'm only just in Cumbria - the north east corner near the Northumberland border betwixt Carlisle and Newcastle, right on top of Hadrians Wall!
