Fresh pics of Hillclimb Elan

Just a few pics of my Elan now some subtle colour changes have been made, namely wheel centre and "sill" painted out. Wheel centres ARE actually Sherwood Green, but appear really dark in the bright sunlight.
Compare these now with the original a few weeks ago.

Hi, they're Yokohama A539's 175 x 60 x 13, on 5" Knock-on Minilites.
These are used for the road, and Yoko 032R's for competition.
They both fit nicely under the standard arches, but you have to bear in mind that this car has the 21/4" spring conversion, and a very special solid AL2 top mount, (doing away with the Lotocone), which allows the movement of the strut top both inwards and outwards. Currently running 3 degrees of negative camber at the rear, which allows even greater tyre clearance. Shocks are Koni Adjustable. Spider rear wishbones.
I've raised the rear15mm for the road, easlily adjustable back down for the hills.
Similarly at the front it runs adjustable top wishbones. Currently running about 2 Degrees of negative, which again allows the tyre even less chance to foul. The latter pictures show the front raised 20mm for the road, but even when it's lowered back down, there's no clearance problem whatsoever. Front shocks are TTR Gaz adjustables.
It runs a TTR rear anti-rollbar, and a 26R front one.
All bushes are supaflex type.
I like the fact that it's very trick, but retains the standard wheelarches.
Looks for all the world like a std road car with a set of Minilites.

Thanks Steve! I've been trying to determine if that wide of rubber would fit under my S3 fenders (I have the narrow springs). Now the problem is finding tires here that are that size :(

Definitely looks better with the "sills" blacked out. Had mine done with the repaint. When taking off the several layers of paint, in this area, prior to repainting, black was the second to last colour I came across.

I concur with Colin. The lines are much cleaner with the sill blacked out. Is it a satin black?

Hi Bill, yes it is satin black, looks much improved over the original photo I think.
