Goodwood 2025 calendar here:

https://www.goodwood.com/globalassets/pdfs/motor-circuit/mc-diary/goodwood-motor-circuit-diary-2025.pdf

Only reference to Lotus I could find is 18th August, 'Caterham and Lotus 7 club'.

Although its my local circuit, I don't really like Goodwood. Long, fast straights, no run off on a number of the bends, and like a lot of ex WW2 airfield perimeter tracks - its completely flat. Not really Elan territory. I much prefer club circuits like Brands Hatch - its got a hill as well.

Edit: Just for what its worth -

Unfortunately the "Club Lotus" Goodwood track day shall not be happening this year as the Goodwood calendar was full across all practical dates for the 'regular' participants. I believe it is getting more and more difficult (and expensive) to secure track day dates at Goodwood even for people who have faithfully returned year after year for 40 years in this case.
This is a sad situation, as the organisers puts in a huge amount of effort and the postponement is no reflection on them.
I shall certainly miss my springtime "fast drive in the country"

John,

I was a spectator at the track day last year, it was a great event.

Goodwood trades off the success of the Revival and Festival of Speed. To be fair, the Duke of Richmond took an estate that was in financial distress 30 years ago, and has been very smart in monetising the estate's motoring heritage to turn the economics of the house and estate around. The downside of his success is that they can charge a premium for the facilities given their name recognition.

At least the circuit has been preserved and isn't another cookie-cutter housing estate on the outskirts of Chichester. The old top gear track at Dunsfold is on its way to becoming a 1,800 house 'Garden Village'

As I mentioned above, the circuit isn't a great Elan circuit, there are much more fun and safer circuits 'down south' to choose from. Do you know if the club has considered other venues?

I love Goodwood although it is becoming increasingly expensive and difficult to get on there. Most of my recent efforts have been with Lotus on Track ( my go to organiser ) in my Elise. It is very fast as has been stated, not a lot of run off, but it has a wonderful flow to it. I had the resident instructor demonstrate to me the circuit could be driven with 7 (!) steering wheel movements - almost unbelievable but he had me doing it! I also like Castle Coombe for similar reasons ( care needed ) but I am told to beware of the circuit organised track days - a bit 'undisciplined' I am told. Again Lotus on Track is the answer for proper behaviour and great company.
