My friend has made another 6 of these breathers. They are an elegant and well engineered solution, are designed to be installed without the removal of the head, and are adjustable.
They work on
Twin Cam (Std and tall block)
BD series of engines.
I have them fitted on my elan T/C and also on a Escort fitted with a BDA

Price is $150.00. (10% less for members) +P&P

Please PM me if you would like to get one

Only 3 left, if you’re interested speak up!
It will be a while before a new batch will be made.

This is the Elantrikbits design, yes, it will need the block to be milled, yes?

No! Not elan trickbits design. I did not need to mill either block o my installation.

OK, so, how does it seal at the bottom? Better if the block does not need milling - do you have a photo of its installed position?

I just expanded the photo and think I understand now - the bottom o ring is not compressed flat, but slides into the hole in the block yes?

Put me down for one. I’ll mail you for the logistics. But still send me a photo if you can?

The design has evolved since this. I have it on a BDA. Also installed on my elan, but it’s a decked 711M block. The issue discussed will be a simple revision to the design that will include an interference O ring on the bottom hole, but also include the sealing O ring at top, of bottom hole. Please understand, this is an effort to provide a solution to the problem.
This is Rob’s design, and solution to the problem. I hope you all appreciate the effort and thought he has put into it. I included the safety wire on both my engines.
Thanks
James

This is my home made breather tube which I made and installed when I replaced my S4 water pump in 2018 (the pump had lasted about 20 years).

The machined aluminium tube has twin O-rings at the lower end that seal in the block and one large section ring sealing in the hole in the head which on my car looked to have a fairly rough (drilled) surface. The sliding collar locked with a grubscrew is mainly for axial location but has also has an O-ring that seals both diametrically and on the underside of the head,
