Scam call - lotus for sale

My +2 is listed for sale on here and another couple of places. Just had a call from 'absolute lotus' they had a cancellation and space for their print run tomorrow if I would like to advertise it for £4.99.
Cutting a long story short, it obviously wasn't this magazine as they tried to debit my card for about £800 and followed it up with a call from the supposed fraud line from my bank, trying to get more info passive aggressively. Hung up and contacted my bank, who have been brilliant, no money left my account etc, but thought I should let others know.

This scam has been circulating Europe for quite a while now, and not confined to selling cars.

Basically, it is the old story - never give card details and phone number to anyone. If a sales merchant is genuine, then they will take Papal.

Pp, or visa direct.
Better security, and no (NO) fees.
Here in Canuckleland, PP fees are huge.

I do hope more get on the VD (not venereal disease)
