Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I saw a white Plus 2 parked in a car park in Epsom Surrey on Saturday. I am often in Epsom but never seen this car there before. Unfortunately I was not in mine, but would have been nice to catch up with a fellow owner. Anyone here? I think it was WYE xxxx reg.

I drove through Epsom on Saturday on the way home from Goodwood but alas in a Roman Purple + 2.

Sounds like mine Dave. 1969 registered. Parked up at the top? I bought it in Jan and took it out of storage at the weekend. Loving every minute of it. What colour is yours so I know to keep an eye out. James

Roman purple - was that the colour that Lotus used for the Plus 2 at the 1973 London motor show? A nice colour

Yes parked in the top car park. I was just leaving when i caught sight of it parked up.

It looks a lovely car, obviously stored well and now you have the nice weather to enjoy driving the car since your purchase.

My S130 is lagoon blue but I am halfway through the full restoration which I started in March of last year.

i bought this car in the 70s. It's a January 1974 built car. Restored in the sense that it has a replacement Lotus galvanised chassis by Rapier Services and engine rebuild by Morland Jones. Otherwise, an old 1982 resto when Lotus Cars repainted the car in it's original colour and retrimmed in the original oatmeal ambla with cloth inserts.
