My brother has a hankering to buy a Lotus Elite (501/502/503). Would anyone here know of a decent one for sale in the UK? I’m posting here on the off chance before I pester the Lotus Excel/Elite/Eclat forum.
Thanks!
Thanks!

So you can reason with the brother known as 'Darth Vader'? There is something not right about that.

The convertible is very nice, after you change the front a bit too.
Born, and brought home from the hospital (no seat belt (wtf)) in a baby!

I have to say I like them ! They are so brave in terms of design. Whether I’d ever try to run and maintain one is a different matter.
But they are just so, so low - even now nothing looks like it.

I had a 75 elite 501 and quite enjoyed it had room in the back for children at the time. The non leather interiors are made out of tissue paper the inboard drum brakes are awkward to do make sure the rear trailing arms are not rusted through best to get later car think they had galvanised chassis. Cam belts can jump on start up if not in good condition most important if the windscreen wiper do not work walk away car is built around it
