Suggestions for, "tech" session Lotus Gathering Salt Lake

PostPost by: mr.vman » Tue Jan 21, 2020 2:51 am

Looking for input, suggestions or comments for the up coming Lotus Owners Gathering at Salt Lake City USA, 18-23 October 2020. Curious what type of sessions would be of interest and NOT be of interest within reason. We should have Lotus USA do an Q&A, or even put on session on late model cars. What type of sessions are of interest for our classic cars? Sessions that attendees have no interest in? We do plan on having an open "round table discussion" where anyone can bring up situations, problems share with the group (this worked well at Colorado Springs LOG)? Any presenters out there that could be of interest? There appears to be space to have at least two sessions at once. Should have enough space and time to give equal time to both groups. Give me a PM on this. Not sure the appropriate place to post. Link below to event.
Thanks in advance, Let me know your ideas and suggestions. Steve V.

Seems like many of us with the older classic Lotus models run into these issues:
- How to best perform fiberglass repairs and have a quality paint job done
- Electrical upgades (added fuses, modern relays, electrical vs vacuum headlamps, door motors, etc.)
- Engine upgrades (carbs vs EFI, cams, cooling, fuel delivery, etc.)
- Chassis issues (CV's vs donuts, shocks/springs, braking upgrades, etc.)

Just a few ideas anyway. Whether you can find one or more professionals to lead the tech sessions or rather just do open round tables, I'm sure you would get some good participation. See you in September!

Hethel_House,
Thank you for the reply. Good information, Your suggestions will be discussed. There will have several open sessions "round table", "academic free discussions" that topics can be brought up. In the groups will be vendors and other long suffering Lotus people. Fuel injection is an interesting topic, perhaps you have experience with fuel injecting an older car? If so please let me know. Feel free to PM for more information or talk about you ideas.
Once again thanks, Steve V.
