Resin printers are really affordable this Christmas.
I am hoping for an Elegoo Mars (?230) this year but may end up buying it myself as the wife ?says? she?s not buying it. Lol

These new resin printers make great quality prints. Anybody using one to print car parts?

If you have a big enough one they're certainly useful for making patterns in order to cast parts.
Here's a Bugatti engine project.

Not really thought about it for car parts but someone in Italy has been been printing conversion parts for old cameras so they can use what film formats are available these days. My old 1970 Kodak Instamatic now works with 35mm film.

If I'd had one 7 or 8 years ago I would have made reproductions of the switch bezels for Giugiaro-era Esprits, which are NLA and easily broken. Might also have made a plastic bit that goes inside one of the switches which is also easily broken.

I guess if you can afford the Bugatti a printer that big would be small change.

That's kind of the point.
Can't afford the Bugatti, so make one.
Twin cam, fixed head, cast iron, straight 8 block already cast, and machined.
