the head is back in position with the used cometic and six layers of copper spray (3 layers you "unrivet") - so tomorrow afternoon ill fire her up. sandy

Are you using the original head bolts and what torque specs. are you using?? - would be interested to know.

yes, used the ARP bolts @ 9,0 kg - i trust them as they use the finest material available. i would be a bit wary if they were the original ones sandy -- need to get some oil (the flush type)

I'd be interested to know how the Cometic gasket goes - especially since it seems to be a good solution for those cases where the head has been skimmed too much. Some people's views toward MLS gaskets on this forum aren't encouraging toward their use however! I have no experience with them.
What was your experience when the gasket was used before? - You said it was a "used" gasket.
