I have one spare admission ticket for this event. This admits one adult or child - it's not a car pass.

If anyone here wants it, PM me - first come first served.

I don't know my movements yet so I'm not really able to commit to giving a lift there or back.

Tickets received and ready to go. It's up the A12 and then the A140 for me and my wife from Writtle.

Getting there by 9.00 will be a challenge but we will give it a go in my yellow +2.

Looking forward to seeing those who can make it!

Dave Chapman.

Spyderfan and I shall be travelling early on Saturday morning, he in his +2 from Kent up to me at Great Dunmow, then both onwards to reach Hethel as the gates open at 0730hrs. Yellow car sticker and two tickets have arrived.

I suspect that many on here, unable to attend, would like to see photos from those members who do. I therefore suggest that I'll open a new thread, so that all photos can be posted in one place. Having thought long and hard, I'll call it "Lotus 70th Anniversary Photos".

In particular, I am looking forward to seeing the parade around the track of one of each Lotus Type. I'm hoping to take a video of that, though I'm not sure how long it would last. If it's too long I'll probably stop at Type 72!

Then at the end of the day all those Lotus cars that have parked up on the infield are allowed to do one lap of the track before exiting. Could be expensive!

Tim

If you have a green windscreen pass that is for the club display area's I think which is coloured yellow on the map to the right of the entrance.which normally the staff car park. Yellow stickers are for parking on the test track which will be divided in two. The right hand part will be the parking area and the left where the track activity will be. A large grandstand has been constructed looking out over the test track. I understand some have red passes. Not sure what these are but could be for cars parading in the one of every type of Lotus parade.

So the yellow goes on the grey and the green goes on the yellow.

What can possibly go wrong ?

From the Lotus website..
" The event is officially open from 10am to 4pm. Those Lotus car owners who have secured a YELLOW car sticker will need to arrive at Lotus Cars between 7:30am and 9am to gain access to track parking."

It's going to be a long day for cars with a yellow pass (which we have) ... :D
