LOG 38 - vintage lotus caravan

Bob, we arrived safe and sound today after dodging rain showers here and there all day. Found out the area we drove through had flooding and damage, we saw brown muddy rivers overflowing their banks, but the trip was uneventful. Even with some rain, the drive was still fantastic. Bruce & Deb Allen accompanied us the 2nd leg home in their red S2 Elan. Now looking forward to driving to LOG39 !!!

Bob, we enjoyed your company at the banquet. Ted and I continued to have a great road trip home, despite the rain. Bruce and Debbie joined us for dinner in State College Monday night and then joined us for the trip home on Tuesday. Three Lotus Elan?s driving on back roads hundreds of miles. Pure heaven!

We drove a total of 1062 mikes round trip (Ted did more as he lives South of me). I averaged 30 miles to the gallon on this trip. Now my car needs to dry out from 2 days of driving in the rain......

Ted and Glen,

Thanks for the update and pictures. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the drive back even though there was rain and some flooding.

You both have great Elans with Ted's original Sprint and Glen's beautifully restored S1 (LOG 1st place).

The next LOG in MA should be a lot easier for you guys to drive to.

Quite handy for me as well, I will be there. Now the challenge is that I have one year to get one of the two in operation. It is also the weekend before the 2019 Fall Vintage Festival at Lime Rock, could make for quite a Lotus week!
