I'd really appreciate some photos of the 1/4 tonneau fastenings.

I do, I bought in 2011 from 2nd owner of 45 years!!
The tenax studs have been replaced with pop studs, still OEM skim so locations should be right. I have the regional soft top and tonneau which I'll have a look at when next, and give you spacings and a start point if that will help.
