There's a Club Lotus track day on Saturday 21st April at Goodwood. I'm thinking of going (despite my Elan not being particularly "track ready"). It's a good opportunity to check out other people's Plus 2s and show my own.
Anyone else planning a trip?

It is a lovely chilled out event. I am entered in either the Plus 2 or the Elise but have a minor operation booked in for Wednesday so am having to scratch the track aspect. If the weather is good and the wound healing well I may well trundle down there.

I?ll be there in my white ?67 S3 dhc. Photo below. My first track driving experience in the Lotus so really looking forward to it. I?ve been told that my clutch should be ok
Look forward to meeting you guys.
I?ll have an ?additional driver? buddy with me who?s a race driving instructor so hopefully I?ll be smoother, quicker and generally a better human being by the end of the day .
Weather Forecast is great too!

Well, of course I've seen your lovely car before, Rich. Now you'll be able to have a look at mine!
I called the Club this afternoon to ask about availability but it is fully booked, so I will not be venturing onto the track. I'm not sure where I will be forced to park it, hopefully not too far away from the paddock.

Drive under the track into the paddock area. You'll be able to park in the 2nd paddock easily but you may find a spare shelter in the first paddock.

I'll be there in the Yellow Elan.
I've just finished rebuilding the carbs, and the tyres are being changed (from winter) so there's still room for some problems to upset my plans.
Chris organises a really superb day and, on or off the track, it really is worth dropping in just to see the cars and chat. The bacon butties are also superb!
The last couple of years have seen those of us with older, perhaps slower cars/drivers (like me) orgnise ourselves so that we're on track together and not slowing up the quicker, more modern machinery.
Looking forward to meeting up.

Looks like it will be good weather for Saturday 21st April. I hope those of you going will have a good time at this event.
I always seem to miss the Goodwood track day and this year is no exception in that my weekends are booked solid to finish the house after our renovations last year and earlier this year in time for visitors from down under in May.
Please grab a few photo's and post them up for the rest of us.

Great meeting you guys yesterday and what a day it was
Plenty of Elans at the Goodwood trackday yesterday. Here?s some pics of just a few. Superb weather for it.
My first time on the track with my S3 and she did not fail to impress. 7 fast 15 minute sessions, about 100 miles on the hallowed tarmac. Beautifully run and administered event as others had said before.
Hope everyone made it home safely. We did see a red wedge Lotus on the hard shoulder of the A3 not far from Guildford but I don?t think it was one of the two Excels which were at Goodwood (?).
I did hear that the poor chap who had the off in the Elise had to spend the night in hospital with cracked ribs and concussion. Hope he is ok.
Best
Steve
