I have relatives living on Mallorca and visit regularly. I have driven those roads and they are wonderful. Some are really smooth and well cared for (thank you the EU), whilst others are narrow and pot-holed. Usually have the benefit of stunning scenery too.

However, trying to be a Jim Clark in a hired Seat with the wife as navigator doesn't really work!

The Elan was in the middle of a small cluster of cars which all took the correct line and were back on the throttle and accelerating in a straight line up the next straight much sooner than many of the others.
