If I recall correctly I joined the group in the late 70's when I was working in the USA.
Dont think they have been active for 30 or 40 years years?

cheers

What Rohan said. I was a member of LOU back in the mid-late 1970s, and still have some old newsletters. But LOU hasn't been around for many decades. California-based Lotus-West also faded away at about the same time.

Mike,

Where is the Tech Manual ? Long ago, I recall someone saying they were going to pull it all together into some electronic format, and post it. But then I never saw it announced. So you're saying it happened? Where do I find it?

Thanks,

I remember that post, but don't think it ever happened.

I have a loose leaf copy, but probably lack the skills to make it electronic. :(

I bought my Elan in Sept 1974, while living in southern Indiana. I chose to join LOU since it seemed to be more centrally located. I believe I received as many as 2 or three single page newsletters, before I think Jim Listner convinced me II needed to join Lotus West to get their tech articles and tech manual. LOU was gone by next Spring and I continued w/ LW for a couple of years.I believe Gary Bolin of Little Rock AR convinced me to move over to Lotus Ltd. For the last 10 years or so Elan.net has been my contact with the outside Lotus world other than racing. I'm happy with Elan.net, just wish we could convince Gary E Anderson to return.
