I went to the American Austin-Bantam meet 12 years ago just north of Pittsburgh in my Super Safety Elan. These were US built versions of the Austin Seven, which had been my 1st car and Colin Chapman built the 1st Lotus cars from Austin Sevens. I finally was able to get the Elan arranged near the show cars so I could get a photo and yeah, the Elan looks small compared to the 75" wheelbase Austin.
