Elan on the PBS News Hour - but why ?

A recent segment of the PBS News Hour (http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/companie ... ainstream/) gave a quick overview of electric cars. By some bizarre coincidence, one of the talking heads in the piece is listed as Aaron Robinson, executive editor of Car and Driver. He is sitting in some sort of garage. Behind him is clearly an Elan ! (Series 2 maybe ?). A little later, the camera shifts to the interlocuter, and behind him is an Esprit. Any guesses why ? Is Car and Driver in the midst of a secret project to electrify old Loti ?

Looks like an S3 from the window frames and the wheel arches.

Remember that Tesla had a Lotus connection initially in that its first car, the Roadster, was based on a Lotus chassis.

Maybe they just wanted a shot that said "here is a car guy"

That looks like a home garage. Maybe Mr. Robinson is into Lotus. I certainly hope so.
