Kelvedon Motors

I recently had some quality issues with several pairs of AVO rear dampers for my Plus2 that were supplied by Kelvedon. Whilst it is always frustrating to recieve faulty parts, I wanted to post this to highlight the excellent support and after sales service that Kelvedon provided. There was absolutely no quibble, and they quickly dispatched new parts to me (in France) and paid to collect the old ones once removed from the car. I went thru 3 pairs of AVO's and ultimately they sourced a set of Spax dampers, which were fine. Many might say this was the least they could do, but so many times suppliers fail to live up their obligations. I can't praise their attitude highly enough.
Steve.

I had a problem with depth of engagement on one of their high torque starters. They dealt with the issue promptly, sent out a replacement and collected original. Good service.

I, too, had a starter engagement problem. I sent them the spacer and they machined it to my specificationj and returned it FOC. I agree they're first class service-wise.

I recently had a poor part supplied, not by Kelvdon, they tried to make out it was my fault it was a poor fit and the welding was of a poor standard. No offer of compensation for the hours wasted or the cost in returning the faulty parts. Some of the parts are of such poor quality. :(

Could not agree more with Cleggy. What is the point of your post Stuart if you do not mention who you have received poorly fitting parts and bad customer service from ? Isn't that part of what LE.N is all about ? Let people decide, on a balanced view, who they want to deal with, based on good or bad recommendations here. How else are companies that supply crap parts going to change ?

I suspect you are talking exhaust manifolds ??? So many questions........
