I have just bought the attached for the princely sum of ?2:50 + postage.

Then found it cheaper on EBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/400911592663

Thanks Vince -posted for ?4.00 for a hardback. That would appear to be a bargain. Saw other listing for same thing at over ?20!

If you buy from theworks seller on eBay and type in TODAY25 at checkout you should get 25% off your order. So a hardback delivered within the UK for just ?3.00.

Absolute bargain. Think I'll be searching their other stuff too!

Thanks for this. I wasn't able to enter the code in eBay (unrecognised), but it works if you use their website. The book is listed at ?3 with P&P being ?2.99. But they have free "Click and Collect" from any of their shops. As I'm in work during the day this is more convenient (and one of their shops is 5 minutes away) so I got it for ?2.25!

Wow at ?2.25 it would be worth buying them in as once their stock has gone I'll bet the price goes back up towards the ?20 mark again. Selling at a tenner in the future would quadruple your money!!

And before anyone here asks -no I haven't can't be ars*d.

Looks like a translation of the french 'band dessinee' book of the same title - somehow calling it a "comic"or 'cartoon" seems wrong .. :)

The french series is composed of three volumes, so I wonder how the english version compares ... I guess I will have to go and buy a copy to find out.. There are a couple of drawings of Elans in the series as well...:D

Discount code still works so ?2.25 for a copy if you collect from the shop... can't be bad :-)

Pereirac.

That explains things, it seemed so familiar as a bande dessin?e yet so strange in comic book format and I agree, comic or cartoon doesnt do it justice but there just isnt a word in English to convey the meaning of bande dessin?e.

I looked at the Amazon.fr link but it was too much to expect it to be a similar price  I was confused however by the words "album format" as opposed to Kindle format, do you know what that means? I'm guessing a hardback version of the bande dessin?e.

IMO the reason its being sold so cheap is that the comic book format was alien and unattractive to UK customers and it didnt sell.

As you say not too taxing but good bedtime read and appears to be pretty accurate from what I have read previously about the man and his career 8)
