That's true, but if you make a false statement on a claim form you are committing fraud.

Yes John, that is of course correct, but is there a question on a claim form that asks 'Was the car left with the hood up or down?' or 'Was the car left locked or unlocked?' I very much doubt it.

Indeed, is there ANY claim form today,or is the claims form handled over the phone ? Probably depends on your insurer.

And lastly, if insurers were so honest, there would be no need for an insurance regulator to tell insurers to pay Mrs Biggs her claim, you have NOT assessed her claim correctly.

I recently received a quote from RH which included in the excemptions that the car would not be insured if it was left overnight at anywhere other than in my garage or at an agreed previously notified location.
