Hi John / All
The funeral is being organised by Mike Serle who is one of John Pelly's oldest friends (over 50 years) and the executor of his will. It's been requested that rather than floral tributes anybody who wishes should make a donation to the hospice that cared so very well for John in his final days.

However, I know for a fact that Mike has organised a floral tribute "LOTUS" and it could be suggested to him that this is paid for by donations from his friends at lotuselan.net and any surplus goes to the hospice. I will happily approach Mike and ask if this is acceptable and collect donations via Paypal.

I am attending Johns funeral on Friday next week and so is Mike Duff (Miked).

Thoughts or other suggestions?

Also I intend to take over John's Do-Nut duties at Castle Combe as a sort of memorial to him and will request a few pennies in exchange once again for the hospice.

Johns wisdom and experience on all things automotive was something I truly valued. His contributions will be sadly missed. I will ensure I try to live my life as fully as he did.

This is very sad news. John and I had many interesting PM chats following some topic that had been posted to this board. John's Elite was one of the preproduction prototypes which was the basis of many of our chats. John's professional experience was very valuable here. He knew that changes or modifications needed to be carefully thought out in terms of an automobile as a complete system, unintended bad consequences often result otherwise. I had hoped to meet him in person on a future trip to England. Godspeed, John.
