Australia Day 2015 - CARnivale - Monday January 26th

PostPost by: Rozzer » Mon Oct 13, 2014 3:38 am

Hi guys

John Flowers who organises the magnificant display of vintage and veteran cars every year at the Australia Day CARnivale has asked us to participate as they haven't had a good representation of Lotus cars for a long time!

If you are interested to bring your car along for the display and enjoy a thoroughly good day out, follow the link and sign up below; if you would like to be with Club Lotus, please do join us, even if you haven't quite got around to joining up yet :) Fill in the appropriate line of the form and we'll all be mustered together.

www.australiaday.com.au/get-involved/carnivale/

As it is a gazetted event, you can use it as a great excuse to get the H plated car out for a drive!

See you there I hope

HI Graeme

Three more would be fantastic - can you fill in the form here www.australiaday.com.au/get-involved/carnivale/ and put Club Lotus in the Club area so we get mustered together!

On a related note, we have our Christmas Party and Concours on 7th December, and non-members would be most welcome to join the fun and bring a picnic - let me know if that's of interest!

Excellent news Rob - I will call in on you shortly as I drive past you en route to the chiro who is busy putting my back back together :) Glad to hear another tin can hits the roads - you might have heard that the Leo Geoghegan Cortina has recently re-appeared and should be seen at an event or two soon!

Well, we have five Elans for the CARnivale - not bad for a first attempt, but it would be good to get some more for next time!

I will get photos up after the event....and anyone who fancies a wander around, please do!

Great news Graeme - looking forward to it!

If anyone else is still wavering, we might be able to get you in there - let me know if you need introduction to John Flowers who organises this event.

Well, our trip to Australia ends today as we prepare to fly home from Melbourne this evening. Sadly, we missed seeing your Australia Day CARNnivale and meeting you guys as our visit to Sydney missed by a couple of days as we were in Tasmania. Fabulous tour and now back to UK with several outstanding jobs to on the elan before the Spring. :D

Hi Rohan, well the garage at home is well heated to combat the 2 degrees but I agree pretty miserable winter weather

Mind you I stood on the beach at Anglesea two days ago and it was grey, windy and cold just like Rhosenigr beach on Anglesey up the road at home :!:
