Serves you right Sandy!

If you had used the proper number plate on the grille in the nose cone that pesky camera would have had no chance

Change the number plates and put a GB sticker on the back, who is going to check a classic car is properly registered?

Bon Courage!

A 30 km/h limit is pretty tough even in a small swiss village. I have been caught similarly a couple of times in a place in Germany where I visited frequently. There is a back way through an industrial estate to bypass the village centre. The authorities put a short 30 km/h limit zone in the middle of this back way along with a camera - safety or revenue raising you ask???

Soon they will require a servant to walk in front carrying a red flag.so you dont scare the horses.

cheers
Rohan

Many a true word etc ( :) or :( ?) Snipped from another site -

"I know it was only in the daily snail but I read that they are to introduce 15mph roads in what they deem cycle cities and towns.Any vehicle overtaking a bicycle will be fined and the driver get 3 points."

"It wasn't just the 'Mail' Bob, it was on the BBC news yesterday."

I love it! The picture and surrounding blurb is fabulous and you'll definitely consider it a trophy when the pain of the 170 quid fine has worn off. It looks good enough to frame and hang up somewhere. What a great momento of halcyon Elan days. I wish I had one. Black and white is so artistic.

Of course, the camera positioning is terrible. Why align a camera so that 40% of the field of view is a stone wall? It needs to be panned to the right so that they can photoshop in a child playing with ball or lady with a pram. Something to make to make you look like a real scofflaw (a great Yank word, I always think). ;-)

Amazing...the Elan is almost low enough where the camera couldn't capture the number plate..

Amazing technology that it caught the car in approx 6 feet of travel.

I have the joy of living in the countryside with lots of nice big hills and narrow and twisty roads....and cyclists are bloody infuriating......the countryside seems to be taken over by peleton after peleton doing 0.2mph up hills......more like tacking a dinghy.........then head down trying to do 70mph on the down hill bits.....especially when its a warm day......grrr.....

ah well

eelman,
yep...........the friggin' cyclists are under the impression they get to ride next to each other and talk while taking up the entire lane.

They get hit and sometimes killed over here......and yet.........the pinheads never learn.

Since you live (lucky) in the country remember to practice the three S's................shoot, shovel and shutup
