I know what you mean... Mine is first initial then last name shortened to 8 letters.. From my first bulletin board circa 1990... Still used by me everywhere!

Like one or two others, I can never think of a fitting username when needed. I had pretty much composed my first post for this forum but was at a complete loss as to what username I could use. :?
At the time, my daughter & her teenage friends seemed to refer to everything as ?awesome?, then one of them referred to my Capri as ?nice wheels, mate, awesome?. Coincidentally, that evening my wife brought home a DVD of the film ?The third man?, starring Orson Welles, & the idea of Orsom Weels was born. After all, what could be more apt when talking Lotus Elans?
My lack of creativity, coupled with plain laziness, means he also now visits a few other forums.

It came from where I live. Easy to remember unless I start having dementia. Now what was this thread all about again? :?

I couldn`t choose my username from where I live as I feel my erudite remarks might lack gravitas if I was called Foolow.

Like some others on the forum, mine was due to a lack of imagination. I'm not aware of any other Lotus based in Galway.

Mines a sanitized version of the username i almost always use that i came up with when I was too young to know better. Basically relates to some of my name plus a 3 digit number, I dropped the three digit number for this forum.

Mine's far far far too obvious - but I made a mistake using an '_' as the convulated key strokes on an iPhone are a real pain in the ****.

Heh Heh, I've been using BillWill as a user id since the first days of online bulletin boards, (CiX) back in 1987.

Shortened version of my own name of course.

Tried to use "?M miles" to boast of the car's mileage (M is engineering for million) but it wouldn't take the ? and just got out of hand. Then I hijacked Meg ...

I have been known as Aussie John at NYLOC for the last 10-15 years so I thought why not! It does confuse folks as I have lived in Yorkshire for 22 years..
