I have just unearthed my copies of Club Lotus Australia News from 1980.

An old acquaintance of mine and a regular poster here, Robert Verhey advertised a red S4 FHC with new XAS FF's, brakes and steering and solid rear end shafts for $6,500.

Seems like a bargain now.

Hi norm. Wow that takes me back. My first ?lan....Had forgotten about the XASs and solid shafts. Someone got a bargain! From memory the money was needed for a deposit on a flat. Wonder where it is now.....

Also the other half of my stable at the time, which I sold to Ron Hodgson to go appendix j racing.... Alas I believe he wrote it off. Another $6000 sale! Which was exactly how much bill wade was asking for his GT500......

Aaah hindsight.....we could all be wealthy men!
