Some news. Not good!

PostPost by: alexblack13 » Thu Sep 18, 2014 6:12 pm

Treatment now finished and I am feeling not bad at all. Very tired and wooden feeling legs but not bad otherwise.

Had the three monthly jab this morning and instructions to go rest. So thats what I am doing.. Kinda!

All is well with the little car and it has had some use in the last few weeks with the nice weather n all.. Bought a new pair of 'speedwipers' from Sue Miller and fitted them Braw! but then the auto park stopped working. Even with the wipers off the screen! So its not the drag difference methinks.

Walked away at that point. Check it out tomorrow. I suspect a connection or earth problem.

Any ideas guys..

I'll post this in the elan forum too............

Mutter mutter...

Good news Alex. Let's hope it continues that way.

As for your wiper - check the permanent live feed to the wiper motor. It supplies power for self-parking when you switch off.

Alex, Glad to see things are going well! It's been a little over 2 years since i finished my radiation. The PSA keeps dropping. My last test was 2 weeks ago. PSA was 0.04 !!!! Hurrah! Keep it up my friend.

Hello guys,

Just a wee update for you all. Treatment for the PC now limited to the three monthly hormone injection. last visit to see my consultant (what a guy), he informed me that my six monthly visits to him are now no longer required and the specialist nurse who gives my jags will carry on for him. If required he says he will see me anytime..

So... Just the afters from the treatment to live with. Not too bad and I can cope with them ok.. Very wooden legs and lead feet & very very tired most of the time. That is a bugger to live with. Motivation is difficult. Getting on my feet is important and I am fine once going but boy does it take some determination... hey ho. I will just get on with it.. 68 yrs in October!!! cant believe that.. I struggle to get out of Sprinty with the hood in up position though.. Mrs B is just as bad too... LOl

Trusting you guys are all in the pink? So I wish you all the very best of health and luck. Enjoy your cars.

PS... Possibility that Sprinty the 5 speed might be up for sale soon.. Still concourse condition after 7 years. but I have not put too many miles on it. Most show stuff see's it transported on my custom built trailer now..

If interested PM me and make me a decent offer for it and if you are ''a good home'' I will consider it if looking for a good Sprint that is ready to go? get in touch.

Frank.. Fantastic news buddy.. Just superb eh?

I meant to tell you that my PSA for the last 9 months or so has been below readable level. less than 0,1 :D

Hence Consultant signing me over to nurse   .. You will get there too I am sure.. Well done. You on Hormones too? My last Hormone injection is June next year, After which my body should return to normal..

Looking forward to that.. If you know what I mean..

You take care buddy .. Sounds good to me..

Getting tough entering and getting out of the car now and also very tight for space in my garage

. I am busy trying to restore a very rusty vespa 400 Car and struggling for room. So before I can start I need to move 2 cars (in'c the elan) and two scooters which I just get done when the rain comes peeing down again..

Couple all that with sh1t weather which I just don't want to expose the car to and it begins to make sense to pass it along to the next (right) owner to enjoy..

That said it is going to be very difficult to part with. It will only be sold to the right person.

I think maybe it is time now.

Cheers
