Donations & Suspicious ebay?

PostPost by: NIGELAN » Fri Dec 20, 2013 12:47 pm

Hi,

I noticed that someone else has just donated again. Is it possible to let me know when I last did so please?

Also, a bit new to ebay, but does the sudden jump in bid value for this item look suspicious in any experts opinion?

I was going to bid on it but lost my phone signal at the last minute, maybe that was fortunate.

Thanks.

I think you will need to address your question on donations to Jeff via the Contact Us button at the foot of the page. Or here.....

No expert on ebay but that looks quite normal to me. People use websites or software to place a bid automatically at the very last minute (or second even) before the auction ends, all you need to do is decide how much you are willing to pay and the rest is automatic. It's called sniping I believe, explained here.....

That is a part that I need and given the way prices for other hard to find parts are going I guess the winning bidder did well.

Upset me a bit actually seeing the listing!!

If anyone has one for sale you have 2 interested parties on this forum!

Hi Guys,

Just catching up on the forum activity and I ran across your thread. Now it just happens that I have a Stromberg plenum that I acquired in a job lot of bits. It's not new, it has been used but if you haven't got one it may be just what you need, it's no good to me as I can't get the holes to line up with the Webbers..

So I'm open to offers, I don't particularly want to ebay it but it will go that way eventually.

Best wishes

George
