Ken - The tail lights are the origional Lucas, The lenses were replace during mid 90's restoration the car is totally as supplied in stage 2 (115hp) except for the paint,geared starter, tires and battery. I also have a hardtop painted the same color.

Mike - thanks for good wishes, I have been assured that in the 2 bypass surgeries that they used only good used OEM parts or factory authorized replacements / upgrades - my warrenty has been extended until the final breakdown.

Rodger - I will try Jeffs instructions, I do have the link - I will learn one day, and thanks.

My stick froze to the ice for a bit.

Congratulation, looks a very nice car and we'll done video.

I can only dream of owning a elan for 50 years. I'll be very lucky to be still driving by the time I've had mine 50 years.

Then there the not having to deal with all the issues if previous owners create. Which would be extremely nice at the minute.

Well at least my DPO made notes thru the years.

Now all I have to do is to get well enough to tackle the type 36 or my S2 waiting in the corner of the shop!

Notes, now there is a good idea. Only had my car 6 months and I can't remember what I've done with out looking through my photos.

This is my second S3. I only had the first one a short while before I emigrated. If I'm still driving when I have this one fifty years I'll be 110!!! :shock: :lol:
