Last weekend was the Atlanta British Car (and Motorcycle) Fayre. Sixteen Lotuses showed up, a rather good turnout and we out-numbered the Sunbeams and Morgans and even the Minis!

Yelotus made friends with this rather excellent Eleven-replica.

About a dozen of the sixteen are in this picture:

I rather like this picture. That's Greg Z's Elan on the other side of the Esprit.

My friend Jayne and her husband (that's him behind the car) arrived late with this absolutely smashing Sprint. Jayne recently inherited it and it's been in the USA for less than a month, and was in fact only registered to be legally driven the day before the show.

Been doing a loft clear out and found the attached among loads of photos. I thought they may interest Lotus fans on this site. I believe it was a concept car called a Lotus Etna. I cant remember the venue or taking the photos but on the same roll ( remember rolls ? ) was Ayrton Senna in his Lotus at the '86 British Grand Prix.

Funnily enough the Etna appeared in this tour of an amazing collection in the Netherlands that I just saw yesterday

I have to imagine there's only one Etna in existence since it was done as a concept car?

The tour is by HubNut, and the facility, Metropole, seems to be a consignment seller that sort of acts as a museum also.

After feeling like the cobwebs have been cleared, finally took the Elan up in the Santa Monica mountains for a run it deserved.

Lovely to se my late friend Chris's Sprint has arrived safely and is being used. Here are a couple of photos of it in the UK last year.

At Hethel for the 60th, alongside my blue Sprint

And also in September with the North Kent Lotus Group, at the Edenbridge Motor Show:

Thanks Richard, great stuff! It really is a beautiful car and I'm glad to know that it's still being loved.

I went to an open-house of a local Lotus super-fan this weekend, which was a fun little event. He has a collection of half a dozen Lotuses, plus a 1928 Rolls Royce and a similar vintage Mercedes, and others from the local Lotus club brought their cars too. My white +2 can be seen next to the lovely copper-colored Elite that belongs to the super-fan :D

Very cool! The elite looks great in that colour. The blue Esprit peeking into frame in the first pic is a rare colour in the USA, do you have any ore pics of it? I used to own an '86 that colour and that car appears to be one of only three in that shade sold in the USA in '86-'87, and it's one of those two years by the design of the air-dam. My '86 was the only one that colour that year and one of the two '87s lived less than an hour from me ten years ago but I have no idea now. I sold my Esprit to a gent near Los Angeles in 2014.

These are great cameras, I have three of them. Fit and forget until you need it.

Here's one more of the blue Esprit that shows it better. Currently belongs to a guy named Jeff who's here in Maryland - I think he's had it a fair while but I don't know the backstory. He has a red Peter Stevens one as well.

Thanks, that must be the third one! Here is the other '87 (grey leather) and the '86 I owned (gold leather) at a club tech-day circa 2012:
