I made mine flat with the four locating holes, simply rests on the nuts. Seems to work just fine, a huge improvement in the leak. John

How supple is your oil filler O ring
Is the cap difficult to tighten, if not you need a new O ring

NOPE, common misunderstanding.

The DISPLAYED photo is 400 pixels, for speed, but if you right-click a photo and use open link to open it in a different tab or different window, you get a much fuller resolution, and can use CTRL wih the PLUS Or MINUS key to enlarge or shrink the picture.
