Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I would not recommend driving an Elan, or any Lotus, to Tahsis, British Columbia but ten days ago that is exactly what I did. It was an optional part of the "Rush To Goldbridge" classic rally. My gung-ho navigator begged me to do the extra miles and I did. After driving to Gold River BC, we then went off the paved roads and onto 45 miles of rough gravel road-each way! https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Tahsis ... 126.656541
The car stood up very well, as it should have with a re-enforced chassis, new shocks, springs, tires, engine, transmission etc.

Thanks Steve, only just got the chance to start work as our daughter was born soon after my crash so hands were rather full.
As well as the new rear section also had to do a major roof repair, door is still splintered and then an easy crack on front wheel arch still to fix, then I've just got to paint it all!

Are you planning any events this year?

Did you ever see 3777VZ running about back there? It was my old S4 DHC sold it in 1977 (long shot i know but... it's worth asking)

So my son get rear ended, and put his truck in paint shop to gat fixed. He then asks to borrow one of my cars! I think what the hell...
He want to use the 1300GT. I don't think he wants to give it back...,
