Well done her!
My son scraped through and I've booked him a track day in the Exige

Thank you. I'm sure your son will love the experience
I've found it really difficult to get insurance for my children to drive our cars, even my eldest son whom is twenty-four and has had a clean license since he was seventeen, anybody know of any friendly insurance companies?

I am with LV. My daughter passed her test in our brand new 1.2 Fiesta in 2010, so she was still learning when we first insured her at 24 years old. The premium was ?380.
Subsequently she took the car to York where it is parked in the street. Initially she was a student, then a care worker. Despite being insured to use the car for her work the premium came down yearly and ended up in '15 at ?260. She is on the policy as the primary driver. i didn't think that the premiums were bad under the circumstances.
However, a word of caution! She had a bump in 2015 which was alleged to be her fault. On renwal, despite both our car policies having a protected NCB, the Fiesta policy went back up to ?314 and they also tried to put up my Jaguar premuim as well. I couldn't do anything about the Fiesta but I did manage to at least reduce the impact on the Jag.
Furthermore, I inquired about transferring the ownership to her. I cannot then insure the car so she will, when I do transfer it, have to take out a new policy. I am trusting (?!) that they will not hit her to hard. Or rather, the bank of ma n pa!
Oops, sorry!
