Which parts came from which other cars?
I have a vague memory that there used to be a book, which listed which Lotus parts were 'borrowed' from other cars and whether or not the part was then modified by Lotus.
Was this true? and if so does anyone recall the Title, Author, Publisher etc of the book.

Might be thinking of the listing in Robinshaw & Ross "Authentic Lotus Elan and Plus 2"? The listing provides part numbers from Ford, Girling, Lucas, etc., but not the models of cars the parts are associated with.
An available on line resource is here:
http://gglotus.org/ggpart/elanxref.htmhttp://gglotus.org/ggpart/elan+2xref.htmWe have had a few threads on this topic, which added a few parts; e.g. I recall the Plus 2 window motors. Perhaps when Jeff's Wiki software is up and running we could add a topic for this?

*embarrassed*
Forgot to check my own library. I have the Robinson & Ross book and it was that one I was thinking of.

Thanks for the mention.
The Golden Gate Lotus Club always accepts suggestions and new listings to our cross reference listings. The listings are very much the compilation of many owners and enthusiasts, so any additions are happily accepted!

Thanks for posting Kiyoshi. Very enjoyable meeting you at the WCLM in Bellevue WA.
I will shoot you the details on the Plus 2 window lift motors for the GGLC listings.
